We will look into nest-building practices of various bird species. We will also look into why birds design and engineer their nests to meet biological and environmental needs.

Novi Birders Nature Walk

Volunteers from WBU Novi will lead a group of people around Kensington to learn about different birds, their calls and other fun facts.

25% of all mammal species on the planet are some type of bat yet these animals are regularly the most misunderstood and feared. This educational program will dispel the myths and look at how these unique animals provide incredible benefits to humans, from regenerating the rainforest as well as providing free, organic pest and animal control. Tips for attracting these beneficial mammals to your yard will also be shared.

Michigan Birds of Prey by Michigan Avian Adventure

Michigan Avian Adventure will bring 3 Raptors (Hawk, Owl, Eagle or Falcon). They will teach us about the Raptors remarkable survival skills and behaviours. Visitors will have an opportunity to feel feathers and explore skulls and other bones to have a better understanding of the Raptors.
